Gender Links, together with its consortium partners, is implementing activities over a three-year period aimed at promoting women’s leadership and political participation in Africa. The overarching objective of this project is to contribute to the enhancement of women’s political participation on the continent, advancing gender equality in politics and governance.

This project identifies the media as one of the key institutions of democratic governance that will be engaged to create change towards greater political participation by women. Gender Links aims to enhance the capacity of media practitioners in gender-sensitive and -responsive reporting, and to equip the media with the necessary skills to transform current media practices and foster a long-term understanding of promoting women’s political participation.

Gender Links will hold training sessions for media practitioners in Botswana, Eswatini and Zimbabwe.
