Zimbabwe: Eunice Tunhira, Zibagwe

My name is Eunice Tunhira l come from Zibagwe district. The Gender Links program taught me that from clean energy there are so many revenue streams like bio-slurry which makes organic fertilizer, biogas, horticultural garden. I also learnt about starting your own business and have sustainable marketing strategies in place.

The program trainings changed my mindset and now l know as an entrepreneur you must focus on making money most of the time. The community buy my products but they are not so much involved in business operations. My husband supports me so much in my business for it to succeed.

My life has changed because l am now making profits and expanding my business. I am now able to look after my family through proceeds from my business. My relatives were not interested but after realizing the benefits, they are now supporting me. The community members buy my products and also help me to advertise. I created 1 job for a youth to look after my cattle. There are now major changes in my life because l managed to buy a grinding mill, and l earned respect in the society. I didn’t access council tenders but the council is supporting other locally owned businesses. I also gained knowledge about building bio-digesters through couching and mentoring from GreenTech.
