The Platfontein and Kimberley
Sunrise Campaign Summit gathered entrepreneurs for two days of sharing experiences, learning, and recognition on 23 – 24 September. Hosted at Ous Meisie’s Lodge in Kimberley, the summit provided a platform for Sunrise Campaign participants to showcase their business ideas and journeys.The Award Ceremony was the highlight of the event. The judging panel consisted of Gender Focal Persons from Magareng and Phokwane Municipalities, who carefully evaluated the participants’ presentations.Special guest Hazel Nkabu, a seasoned entrepreneur from Kimberley, inspired the group with her motivational message that “It is possible” to succeed against all odds. Nkabu thanked Gender Links for the programme which has changed the lives of the entrepreneurs who are now glowing with happiness and confidence compared to when they started the programme.
Awards & Recognition:Business categories were presented with certificates and medals for their outstanding performance.

Every Sunrise Campaign participant received a certificate of participation as a token of appreciation for their dedication and commitment to the programme.The summit concluded on a high note with traditional songs and dance, leaving participants motivated and determined to continue building thriving businesses in their communities.
