Project 90 by 2030

Project 90 by 2030 is a social and environmental justice organisation inspiring and mobilising South African society towards a sustainably developed and equitable low-carbon future.

Despite the critical role women play as change-makers in their communities, they remain disproportionately affected by climate change and are under-represented in discussions and policies related to the just energy transition. Our organisation, while rooted in feminist and matricentric values, recognises the need to deepen our focus on gender and inclusivity. There is a pressing need to integrate stronger gender perspectives across our programs, partnerships, and in policy debates to ensure that women’s voices, particularly from the Global South, are heard and valued in climate leadership and policy-making.
