Nyara Youth Development

At Nyara Youth Development, creating transformation and equalizing access to opportunities is at the forefront of what we’re about. Our programs and activities are designed to be a catalyst that helps the youth of Nyara Villages reach their goals and fulfill their potential by stretching their mindsets to be aligned to 21st century thinking.

The ultimate goal of this project is to see more children complete school with a well-rounded support structure and healthy lifestyle with no discrimination or inequality. We want to offer them alternative and positive solutions to their social ills. We also pride ourselves in making sure that girls get the same access or more to education, sport and psycho-social support – ensuring equality at grassroots level. An added benefit is that the more youth that complete school, the more who are able study after school and become more employable. Ultimately also reducing the very high unemployment rate in South Africa.
