The Dream Factory Foundation‘s mission is to empower youth, especially women from low-income and rural communities through education, equipping them with skills and creating meaningful opportunities to become active citizens living purpose driven lives. The organization was founded in 2011 by Lusanda Magwape and Laurian Nortje, young women who whilst volunteering as part of their church outreaches, were deeply impacted by the lack of quality education, poverty and violent crimes that learners were exposed to mostly in government schools. The two felt a deep call to use their talents and networks to initiate an inspirational roadshow in schools that would give birth to the organization.

Our WVLSA project aims to reach 40 families of 4-5 members in the household over a 6 month period & provide them with:

• immediate once-off food parcel relief;
• immediate response to GBV & rape cases through legal, medical and safe shelter support;
• one-on-one telehealth counselling support for each family member as well as for the entire family in order to facilitate the promotion of mental health, healing and well-being; and
• host weekly training sessions on cv writing, interviewing, job-readiness and entrepreneurship to improve the employability and entrepreneurial skills of our participants
