Callas Foundation

The Callas Foundation advocates for women, children and men by providing services such as community outreach, psychosocial support and access to justice, in order to dismantle systems that favour men over women.
While the main target constituency of the Callas foundation is women, the organisation acknowledges the importance of working in an integrated approach.
The primary objective of this project is to formalize and systematize support practices for Gender-Based Violence (GBV) survivors and their families, providing comprehensive, high-quality assistance across legal, psychosocial, logistical, media, and advocacy areas. It aims to enhance the capacity of a trained volunteer network, expand the number of cases supported annually, and integrate innovative, survivor-centered approaches. The project will create a sustainable, replicable model that improves service coordination, empowers survivors, and drives systemic change in GBV prevention and response, ultimately leading to broader social impact and better outcomes for survivors on the Cape Flats.
