Molepa Leah Sebola is a youth advocate passionate about advancing the rights, health and wellbeing of adolescents and young people. Through her work, she supports young people to access information, exercise their rights and meaningfully participate in decisions that affect their lives. She is committed to creating safe and inclusive communities where young people can thrive and contribute to positive social change.

Background

Molepa is the Director of Youth Action Health and has more than four years of experience in youth advocacy, leadership and community development. Her work focuses on SRHR, HIV prevention, GBV prevention, child rights, safeguarding, stakeholder engagement and community mobilisation. She has trained SRHR advocates within educational institutions and communities, facilitated capacity building workshops and coordinated advocacy initiatives that empower young people to become active agents of change.

She is a graduate of the Child Rights and Protection Scholarship Programme, which strengthened her expertise in child rights, safeguarding and advocacy. She also holds a Higher Certificate in Criminal Justice from the University of South Africa and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce in Law at the University of South Africa, where she is in her third year of study.

Current Projects / Work

Molepa is currently involved in youth-focused advocacy and community engagement initiatives that promote child rights, SRHR awareness, HIV prevention and youth participation.
