Lalaina Sandralimisa is passionate about building inclusive and safe spaces for sexual and gender minority communities and advancing gender justice in Madagascar and beyond. Their work focuses on empowering marginalised voices, especially queer youth, through storytelling, advocacy and community led initiatives. They believe in transformative queer feminist leadership that challenges inequality while centring care, dignity and intersectionality.
Background
Lalaina is a queer activist with experience in project management, advocacy and movement building in Madagascar. They serve in leadership roles within Queer Place, where they coordinate programmes, manage budgets and support the development of safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ people. Their work includes organising awareness campaigns, leading community dialogues and producing media content, including the Feon-Queer podcast, which amplifies marginalised voices.
