In Zambia the project ran in seven of the 10 provinces, namely: Central, Copperbelt, Eastern, Lusaka, Northern, North-Western and Southern. The following councils were included: Chibombo, Chililabombwe, Chipata, Chirundu, Kasama, Katete, Livingstone, Lusaka, Mumbwa and Solwezi. A total of 133 women participated.

The programme was supported by the Netherlands’ government Fund for Leadership Opportunities for Women (FLOW) and the Local Government Association of Zambia (LGAZ).The most significant change was an increase in relationship control of 10% (from 50% to 60%) and a decrease in GBV experiences of 7% (from 59% to 52%).
