Rudo Mafukidze - multifaceted entrepreneur

My name is Rudo Mafukidze I am a multifaceted entrepreneur. I decided to diversify my steel fabrication and catering business by joining Masvingo Flora, a collective entrepreneurship initiative in the flower production value chain supported by Gender Links. This decision has been a turning point for me. Through participation in the Masvingo Flora Cooperative, I have gained access to new markets and technical expertise that have helped me grow my business. 

My income has increased significantly, from USD 300 to USD 600 per month. I have also acquired valuable skills in flower production, marketing and financial management, which have been essential in navigating the flower production value chain. Moreover, I learned about digital marketing and social media promotion, which has enabled me to effectively promote my products online. I also learnt about savings and through practice I developed a culture of saving, which has seen me save USD 800 in the last quarter of 2024. Collective entrepreneurship has been a game-changer for me, opening up new opportunities for growth and success. I am excited to see where this journey takes me and how I can continue to grow and diversify my business.
