Give a short history of the leaderMy experience on the challenges facing women forced me to engage on campaign of the leading post so as to advocate on gender issues. Example, tradition n and customs which deny women to participate in decision making
ObjectivesTo provide education on how to prevent women from early marriage, to enhance campaign for women to have power to lead, to hire properties (land), reproductive education and girls to have confidence for self expression
Key activitiesThe first problem was that women were not given right to own properties (land). The ultimate goal is to bring equality in distribution of resources especially land to both men and women. Now the problem is about to be solved as now women have an equal chance of hiring land. Secondly, early marriage and teenage pregnancy. The ultimate goal is eradicate pregnancy, early marriage and teenage marriage whereby the problem were solved through providing education on village meeting, initiating gender based violence club, initiating committee for securing women and children. Thirdly, lack of participation of women in decision making. The ultimate goal was to ensure women are given chance to participate fully in decision making by being encouraging to lead.
Key challengesThe challenges includes poor tradition and believes among the members of the community, lack of enough financial resource that limit to cover large area so as to reach people, political interference
