Priscilla Maposa
Priscilla, who joined us in July 2009, has more than 15 years of experience in development work, including research, capacity building, monitoring and evaluation, relationship building and people management.
In addition, she has vast experience in local government, including gender mainstreaming, lobbying and advocacy work around women’s participation in decision making structures.
Some of Priscilla’s key achievements include, facilitating the lobbying and advocacy work for a 30% local government quota [quota of what?] in Zimbabwe and facilitating the implementation of a gender mainstreaming programme in all of Zimbabwe’s 92 local authorities. Priscilla has secured multiple funding sources for the implementation of various programmes.
She holds a Masters degree in Social Policy and Development Studies and a Bachelor of Social Science Honours degree in Development Studies from the University of Fort Hare, South Africa. She also has a certificate on human subjects and research ethics from Battelle University, US.
