
Mandas Marikanda

CEO of Zimbabwe Women’s Microfinance Bank — the first in the Southern African Development Community region — Mandas has more than 27 years of experience in development finance. She's a seasoned consultant and accredited trainer in microfinance, known for innovative financial interventions in rural communities.
Mandas has a PhD in Economic Empowerment and Microfinance and an Master of Business Administration degree, specialising in leadership, and is passionate about financial inclusion for excluded groups, including women, youth and orphans. She has worked across Southern Africa, demonstrating a commitment to business incubation.
A member of several prestigious institutes, Mandas has received numerous awards since 2018 for her work in women's economic empowerment and leadership excellence, including the Zimbabwe Business Awards’ Businesswoman of the Year – National (2019) and the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce CEO of the Year (2018).
