Flavienne Ramarasaona

Flavienne Ramarasaona is a professional journalist with over fifteen years of experience. She began her career at Malagasy National Radio (RnM) before advancing to become Head of Department at Malagasy Television (TvM). Engaged in the field of social media, she is a member of InterMedias, the association of journalists specializing in social affairs, and has served on the Professional Press Card Issuance Committee.
Her communications journey has also led her to work as a press officer and communications consultant for various public institutions. This expertise enabled her to represent COMED (Media Education Council) in Madagascar before joining, in 2017, the Executive Committee of CAFOR (African Council for Training and Education), where she oversees matters related to Madagascar.
Since 2017, she has also served as Communications Officer for RFD (Dynamic Women's Network), an association supporting Malagasy communities in France. At the same time, she is actively involved in social communication initiatives with associations working for the rights of women and children.
Her commitment in gender issues is longstanding. As a member of FPFE-GEMSA, she collaborated with Gender Links on the groundbreaking study "Glass Ceilings: Women and Men in Malagasy Media" in 2009. More recently, in June 2023 in Antananarivo, she facilitated a workshop on "Women's Participation in Africa" as a resource person for Gender Links. Her career reflects my enduring commitment to media, communications and gender equality, with a constant drive to foster positive societal change.
