Denis Ithier

Denis Ithier, retired since 2023, is the holder of a BA in Administration with specialization in Economics from the University of Mauritius. He taught economics and business studies in St Mary’s, a boys’ confessional school, before working as manager at Ducray Lenoir, a company importing and distributing laboratory equipment and products for various sectors including healthcare and agriculture, among others. 

He joined the group La Sentinelle Ltd (LSL) in 1990 as Marketing and Commercial Director. He was appointed Chief Operating Officer (CEO) in 2009 and Group Chief Executive Officer in 2010. Between 2007 and 2008, he took a break from his 33-year career at LSL Group to serve as CEO of the Prey Group in Madagascar, involved in media, printing, real estate, among others.  

He is a long-time member of the NGO Friends in Hope, which supports children and teens with mental disorders and volunteers for Prevention, Information et Lutte contre le Sida which fights against HIV/AIDS.
