
Lusanda Mamba

A feminist leader and social justice activist with over 15 years of experience across Africa, Lusanda is the Programme Manager for Gender Links’ Marang Southern Africa LGBTQI Fund.
She brings deep expertise in grant-making, cross-movement partnerships, and programme management, particularly within LGBTQI and gender justice sectors. Lusanda has led multi-million-dollar initiatives supporting feminist and LGBTQI movements under increasing pressure from anti-gender and anti-rights actors.
Before joining Gender Links, Lusanda coordinated the Komboa Consortium at the African Women’s Development Fund, overseeing a $11.5-million initiative funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Her previous roles include serving as Director of Strategic Operations at Sibumba Eswatini, as National Programme Officer at the Coalition of African Lesbians and National Programme Officer at Australian Volunteers International.
Lusanda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Universidad Marta Abreu de las Villas in Cuba. She is fluent in English, Spanish and siSwati.
