At a time when the global mantra is to “leave no one behind” the media persists in leaving half the world behind!

This study is significant in that it took place at a time when civil society, gender, and media activists in the Southern African Development Community had paused to take stock of progress made since the signing of the landmark SADC Protocol on Gender and Development that set targets related to gender equality in and through the media by 2015.
