GL@25: From grantee to MERL officer

I owe a huge part of my professional journey to Gender Links. From being a shy, hesitant individual who avoided public speaking to becoming a confident Merl Officer, Gender Links played a pivotal role in my transformation.

As a grantee for the RWVL 2020, I was given opportunities to grow, learn, and be part of a community that empowered me to find my voice. Gender Links not only provided resources but also nurtured my skills, encouraged me to take risks, and supported me every step of the way.

I remember being terrified of public speaking, but Gender Links gave me platforms to speak, train, and facilitate through the WOSSO Fellowship. Today, I stand before thousands, sharing my story, advocating for change, and inspiring others. The confidence, boldness, and voice I have today are thanks to the incredible work of Gender Links.

I'm proud to be part of the Gender Links family, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to pay it forward, empowering others to find their voices and make a difference.

To Gender Links: thank you for shaping me, believing in me, and giving me a voice.
