Raising the profile of women in politics

WOMEN IN POLITICS launched the “WE ” Campaign with a view to increase the representation of women in the parliament for the 2014 General Elections. “W ” stands for Women and “E ” stands for Empowerment ” but also “WE ” stands for whole Mauritius. “WE ” stands for togetherness and inclusiveness.The campaign is a good practice because it is designed for different target group: political parties, local government, voters, media and the general public. It is therefore a well-rounded campaign for optimum result.
