The organization was formed in November 2012 after realizing the lack of male involvement in the fight against violence and abuse. The organization seeks to work with women empowerment initiatives as allies. The good practice is related to the theme because the organization was formed during the 16 day of activism against violence and abuse and the name on its own speaks about men in their quest against violence and abuse. These good practice seeks to encourage consistent and deliberate prevention efforts that will create a Swaziland free from violence and inequality. This is where we learn how to recognize and take responsibility for our patterns of hurtful and harmful behaviors. We examine how the social dimensions of masculinity, which have affected us personally and created the conditions for violence and abuse. We join as allies with in challenging cultural and institutional systems of domination and control. We offer each other a model and our society the models of recovery, safety, empowerment and hope. We are hoping that as we grow as an organization we will be able to funding since at the moment as it get hard to implement certain projects as they may be financial challenges. We learn to find out our strength in the vulnerability with others and ourselves. Masculinity is in transition, our understanding of what it takes to be a successful men is going through big changes. This initiative is already making waves in other countries, hence we accelerate the introduction of male involvement project. And instill hope and excitement regarding alternatives to violence. To engage community members to become activities themselves. Communities had also been encouraged to frame violence against women as their own responsibility not that of the victims. Although we are struggling but we are still working towards including more men and boys to be part and parcel of community mobilization.
