Benenitra is one of the districts in the Atsimo Andrefana region. Access is very difficult. Truck transportation is only available once a week. Benenitra covers an area of 141,798 km² and has a population of 12,374, including 6,825 women and 5,549 men. In terms of public health, the urban commune of Benenitra has a district hospital and three basic health centers. Finally, there are 12 public primary schools, a general secondary school, and a private school.
