Urban municipality of Amboasary
The municipality of Amboasary is located 75 km from the regional capital of Anosy and covers an area of 463 km2. The population was estimated at 32,411 in 2014. The municipality has a district hospital, a basic health center, and nineteen schools. The municipality's main source of revenue is property tax.

Introduction
