Tongogara Rural District Council

Tongogara Rural District Council is in Midlands Province and shares borders with Vungu District to the north, Chirumanzi to the east, Masvingo to the southern eastern side, Chivi (Masvingo Province) to the South, Runde District to the southwest and Insiza district (Mat South Province) to the west
The district has mineral resources in abundance in the great dyke e.g., gold, platinum and chrome. The district has potential to investors interested in mining and value edition as well as processing of these minerals. Tongogara Rural District Council is endowed with communal land and state land. Council is offering land for residential, institutional purposes at Donga and Tongogara Growth Point and other business centres around Boterekwa Escarpment with Shurugwi Town Council. The council is a spoke council in the hub and spoke programme for gender mainstreaming, being mentored by Zibagwe RDC.
