A center of excellence since 2011, the rural municipality of Soalandy is located in the Analamanga region. The population of soalandy council is estimated at 27,434 inhabitants. In terms of infrastructure, Soalandy has a basic health center and a public primary school. The main economic activity of the population (70%) is focused on granite extraction. The commune began implementing its gender action plan in 2011, which is supported by very active women's associations.
