The rural municipality of Sakaraha has a total population of 45,000 inhabitants spread across 23 fokontany (villages). Located in southern Madagascar, the municipality is known for its large mining quarries. In terms of educational infrastructure, the municipality has 27 public primary schools, seven secondary schools, and two public high schools.
