Ruacana COE

After the proclamation of Ruacana as a Village on 01 July 2005, Councillors were sworn-in, in December 2005, and 18 staff members were employed by June 2006 to start with councils’ operations. Having to focus on the vast area of operation, the staff complement was a major challenge to address and attend to critical issues. Having visionary leaders in place (councillors and management) we managed to keep the situation under control and therefore through our hard work, Ruacana’s status was elevated to town.
