Muzarabani is situated in Mashonaland Central, home to the “Mavhuradonha mountains” located on 600 square kilometres of rugged mountains and situated along the Zambezi Escarpment, only two hours away from Harare in the northeast part of Zimbabwe.

Muzarabani is situated in Mashonaland Central, home to the “Mavhuradonha mountains” located on 600 square kilometres of rugged mountains and situated along the Zambezi Escarpment, only two hours away from Harare in the northeast part of Zimbabwe. Mavhuradonha refers to the misty rains which often hover over the mountain tops and is a Shona name which when literally translated means “Land of Falling Water” or simply “waterfalls”. The area is a perfect destination for game viewing especially the elephants, buffaloes, zebras, leopards, lions, baboons, and other wide range of animal species. Muzarabani is administered by the rural council whose website has more information on their activities.
The council is a hub council in the hub and spoke programme for gender mainstreaming, mentored by Bindura RDC. Muzarabani RDC has got 29 wards, 31,100 households with an average household size of 4.3
