Mutare Rural District Council is located in the town of Mutare, sharing the same boundaries with Mutare City Council in the eastern border of Zimbabwe.
Introduction
Mutare RDC is located in the town of Mutare, sharing the same boundaries with Mutare City Council in the eastern border of Zimbabwe. The Mutare RDC is located amidst a long-range of a picturesque mountain range which divides Zimbabwe and Mozambique.
It is situated 263 kilometers east of Harare and 290 kilometers west of the Port of Beira, Mozambique. Mutare RDC is a spoke council in the hub and spoke programme for gender mainstreaming. The total population is 306,760 people according to 2022 census serving 70,562 households.
