Mudzi RDC is in Mashonaland East Province, and it located on the North-eastern part of Zimbabwe. It is bordered by Mozambique to the East, Rushinga District of Mashonaland Central to the north, Uzumba-Maramba-Pfungwe (UMP) District to the northwest, and Nyanga District of Manicaland Province to the south.

Introduction

Mudzi RDC is in Mashonaland East Province, and it located on the North-eastern part of Zimbabwe. It is bordered by Mozambique to the East, Rushinga District of Mashonaland Central to the north, Uzumba-Maramba-Pfungwe (UMP) District to the northwest, and Nyanga District of Manicaland Province to the south.
The council is approximately 216 kilometers from Harare along the Harare–Nyamapanda highway. The district has a total population of 158,483 with whom 52% are females and 48% are males. The average household size is 4 for a total of 39,762 households. The council is a spoke council in the hub and spoke programme for gender mainstreaming in local government.
