Gokwe North Rural District Council is located to the far north of the Midlands province unlike its Neighbour Gokwe South District which has an urban settlement within it. 
It has a service centre Mutora, where Gokwe North RDC operates from. There are 36 wards under Gokwe North RDC evenly distributed in 4 constituencies: Gokwe-Chireya 9, Gokwe-Gumunyu, Gokwe-Kabuyuni 9 and Gokwe-Nembudziya 9. The councils serve a total of 55,232 households with an average of 4.5 per household.
The council is a spoke council in the hub and spoke programme for gender mainstreaming, being mentored by Zibagwe RDC.

Part of the "hub and spoke" program for gender mainstreaming, being mentored by Zibagwe RDC. 

Currently has 11 women councillors out of a total of 47, which is a step towards increasing women's representation

Developed a master plan to guide development which is Gender inclusive.
