Chirumanzu RDC is located in the small town of Mvuma, in the Midlands province and it borders with Mhondoro-Ngezi, Chikomba, Zibagwe, Vungu, Masvingo and Gutu.

Introduction

Chirumanzu RDC is located in the small town of Mvuma, in the Midlands province and it borders with Mhondoro-Ngezi, Chikomba, Zibagwe, Vungu, Masvingo and Gutu. The district is composed of twenty-five wards with twelve wards in the communal area, three in Mvuma, one in Lalapanzi and nine covering the resettlement area. Synonymous for its mining activity which anchors its economy. Having joined the COE programme in 2015, the council is making relative progress to integrate gender in their service delivery.
According to the population census of 2022 Chirumunzu had a total of 24,556 households with an average of 3.9 per household. The council is a spoke council in the hub and spoke programme for gender mainstreaming, mentored by Zibagwe RDC
