Chaminuka Rural District Council is located in Shamva in Mashonaland Central. The area is well known for its mining activities and has a mixed cultural population because people tend to migrate to the district to engage in mining activities.
Chaminuka is a spoke council in the hub and spoke programme for gender mainstreaming, mentored by Bindura RDC. The council is working with junior councillors whom they have set aside a budget for their activities, as they represent youths in their wards. It has got 29 wards and 38,062 households with a total population of 165,641 according to the 2022 population census.
