Bulawayo City Council is strategically located in the South Western part of the country linked by road, rail and air to South Africa, Botswana and Zambia.  Bulawayo City Council affectionately referred to as the City of Kings and Queens, is a leader in local excellence in local governance.  

The council is committed to excellence in local governance through the provision of quality services to the satisfaction of stakeholders. The council has matured with age and has exhibited signs of growth within the COE. Zimbabwe International Trade Fair is the gateway to Bulawayo. The City of Bulawayo is a hub council which mentors Victoria Falls, Lupane Local Board and Hwange Local Board. The city council serves 178,717 households with an average size of 3.7 per household.
