The Bubi Rural District Council is located in Matabeleland North Province in the western side of Zimbabwe some 65 kilometers from Bulawayo along Bulawayo –Nkayi. 

The district covers an area of 600.35square kilometers and boarders with Nkayi to the north, Lupane to the northwest, Umguza to the South and Southwest, Insiza to the South-East as well as Gweru and Kwekwe districts on the East. It has 23 Wards and a total of 18,254 Households with and average household size of 4.1. The council is a spoke council mentored by Umguza Rural District Council in the hub and spoke programme for gender mainstreaming in local government.
