Binga District is located in Matabeleland North Province midway between Kariba Town and Victoria Falls and is 435km from Bulawayo along Lake Kariba. It was established in terms of section 275 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe amendment (NO. 20) Act 2013 and falls under the semi-arid agricultural region five (5) and the topography of the district is generally rugged, hilly and mountainous in some areas.

The district shares boundaries with Lupane to the south, Hwange to the west and Gokwe to the east and Zambia to the north demarcated by the mighty Zambezi. The District The council is a spoke council for Umguza Rural District Council in the hub and spoke programme for gender mainstreaming in local government.

Commissioned five new boreholes in Siachilaba Ward, providing clean water access to over 2,000 residents.

Commenced the rehabilitation of the 35km Lusulu-Kariyangwe road to improve transportation and market access for local farmers.
