Analavory Rural Municipality
With a population of 67,943, 58% of whom are women, the rural commune of Analavory is located in the Analamanga region. Covering an area of approximately 106 km², the commune is divided into 24 fokontany (villages). The main economic activities of the population are agriculture, livestock farming, and fish farming. Gender equality and women's empowerment have been included in the municipality's objectives, especially in recent years. In terms of educational infrastructure, the municipality has 27 public primary schools, three middle schools, and one high school.
Introduction

The municipality of Analavory is located in the heart of Madagascar, about 108 km west of the capital city of Antananarivo. It covers an area of 158 Km2 and is made up of 23 fokontany. Before joining the center of excellence process, there was a lack of knowledge about gender, and the rate of violence was also on the rise. In addition, women are not very visible in the community. . In addition, women are not very visible in political and social life.
After Gender Links' intervention and the efforts made by the commune, the situation has improved significantly: the commune was able to complete steps 01 to 10 of the center of excellence process, and the gender committee was legally established. The existence of the action plan approved by the deliberative body has enabled this municipality to allocate a budget of 500,000 Ar to finance activities related to gender promotion and the fight against violence.
