Introduction

The integration of the gender approach is essential, as it allows all citizens to be involved in the municipality's development process. In addition to the participatory budget, the gender approach acts as a lever for development that meets the requirements of equity and inclusion in this process. It aims to establish a new partnership between women and men, based on respect for differences and equitable participation in all areas of community life.

Thanks to the promotion of participatory and gender-based approaches, the population has been able to participate effectively in the implementation of projects funded by the participatory budget. The municipality's working methods have improved significantly, promoting effective collaboration between women and men within the municipal administration.

The mayor has also organized mentoring sessions to enable all staff and local actors to better understand and promote the gender approach in their daily activities.
