Relebogile Setshedi is a Black feminist advocate committed to advancing and defending the rights of lesbian, bisexual and queer women. Her work is shaped by the reality that Black LBQ women often face layered barriers to safety, dignity and access to rights. She is passionate about challenging exclusion through advocacy, storytelling and movement work rooted in lived experience, and works towards a future where LBQ women can exist freely, safely and without compromise.

Background

Relebogile is the Media and Advocacy Manager at the Forum for the Empowerment of Women, a Black feminist organisation that empowers lesbian, bisexual and queer women. Her work focuses on media, advocacy and programme coordination, including campaigns, dialogues and community based initiatives that respond to gender based violence, exclusion and systemic inequality. She works with communities, partners and institutions to promote more inclusive and accountable systems.

Current Projects / Work
