With an average score of 63%, gender attitudes in Lesotho are gradually changing for the better, but evidence of deep-seated patriarchal attitudes is still strong. For example, while 65% of women and men agree or strongly agree that “A woman has the right to insist on a man using a condom”, 67% agree or strongly agree that “a woman should obey her husband.”
