Adv. Motlatsi J. Mofolo is a Mosotho human rights lawyer and social impact practitioner with over eight years of experience in gender equality, social inclusion, and sustainable development. He currently serves as Programmes Officer at Gender Links Lesotho, where he leads the European Union-funded project Local Action for Gender Justice in Lesotho: Transforming Gender Norms and Strengthening Domestic Violence Laws for Inclusive Protection Across Lesotho, providing strategic oversight on national GBV research, policy advocacy, and institutional capacity strengthening for government and civil society partners. His expertise lies in gender-transformative and rights-based programming, with a strong focus on governance reform, social behaviour change, and inclusive policy implementation, supported by extensive experience in legislative and institutional analysis, programme design, and regional coordination across EU, USAID, and SADC-supported initiatives. Adv. Mofolo holds a Master’s Degree in Human Rights Law from the National University of Lesotho and an MSc in Sustainable Development from the University of Sussex, and is a Mandela Washington Fellow in Leadership in Civic Engagement as well as an alumnus of the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program in Human and Civil Rights for Marginalised Communities. He is committed to advancing feminist, intersectional, and evidence-driven approaches that strengthen inclusive institutions, protect human rights, and place women, youth, and marginalised groups at the centre of social, political, and environmental transformation in Africa.
