Diksha Purmessur
Diksha Purmessur, 32 years old currently serves as the Programme Officer of Gender Links. She is responsible for the smooth running of the shelter as well as assisting with other projects of Gender Links Mauritius.
Since 2015, Diksha has been working at the intersection of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights and community engagement. Her journey includes impactful roles such as Programme Officer and Social and Medical Hub Coordinator at different community-based organisations where she championed initiatives that promote inclusivity, access to SRHR services, and empower diverse vulnerable populations.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology (specialising in Gender Studies) and extensive experience in social engagement, program coordination, and case management, Diksha combines academic expertise with hands-on experience, ensuring compassionate, inclusive, and high-quality care for all.
