GL Cottages call for support!

Please respond by 5 May!
Johannesburg has positioned itself as an African World Class City — a city that is inclusive, well-governed, culturally rich, environmentally aware, and attentive to human well-being. Gender Links Cottages (GLC) is proud to contribute to this vision. Owned by Gender Links, a renowned Southern African women’s rights organisation, GLC is seeking authorization from the City of Johannesburg to rezone so that it can operate optimally.
The property, which has always run as a guest house, is currently zoned as Residential One (single dwelling unit). This is inconsistent with the buildings and layout. We are seeking to rezone to Residential Three (bed and breakfast); to consolidate the various properties and to have certain restrictions removed. We are home to a heritage site, the Ekhaya Restaurant, and run a peaceful, environmentally friendly establishment that has hosted a wide variety of interest groups promoting gender equality, diversity and inclusion from Southern Africa, Africa and the whole world.
Many of you have used or know of the GL Cottages, a unique effort in a tough funding environment to sustain our work on gender equality and justice. Your support would be greatly appreciated! This form will only take five minutes of your time!
