The City of Kadoma is a dynamic urban Centre located in central Zimbabwe along the Harare-Bulawayo highway about 145 kilometers from Harare, serving as a vital hub for economic and social activities.

The City of Kadoma is a dynamic urban centre located in central Zimbabwe along the Harare-Bulawayo highway about 145 kilometers from Harare, serving as a vital hub for economic and social activities. Known for its strategic location, the city provides seamless connectivity for trade, commerce, and transportation, linking major cities and markets. Kadoma boasts a diverse economy driven by mining, agriculture, and manufacturing, with key industries including gold mining, cotton processing, and metal fabrication.
Kadoma City Council is one of the 18 hub councils in Zimbabwe and has shown great strides in mainstreaming gender in council. The council has gone through its verification exercise. Kadoma is also part of the Sunrise Campaign programme. Council serves a total of 30,630 households with an average size of 3.8 per household.


Key Achievements

Council was one of the first urban councils to be awarded the hub status in Mashonaland West province.
Council was one of the local authorities to pilot the local economic development programme.
