Mauritius: M-Kids Association, working to alleviate extreme poverty.

M-Kids Association is aware that poverty cannot be completely eradicated. However, it is working to at least alleviate extreme poverty. The association is working to have a country with zero hunger. It promotes safe and healthy population and aims to protect the environment. M-Kids Association preaches about peace and social stability while working in close collaboration with institutions dealing with issues which are threats to social harmony.It promotes gender equality and preaches a lot about gender equity. It helps women to emancipate and empowers those who are deprived of education and rights. It preaches about human rights and makes them known to fellow individualsM-Kids Association aims to increase literacy rate by sponsoring some students from their tender age. Its goal is to eradicate social evils like drug addiction and drug trafficking through awareness campaigns. It also aims to promote arts and culture by organising an array of activities, for example culinary competitions or open-air drawing competition. It assists victims or less fortunate people, especially the elders of the society.
- M-Kids Association provides free meals to the homeless and the vulnerable families under the Monthly Basic Foodstuff Pack Programme.

- It organises free screening, blood donations and seminars related to health.
- It provides remedial classes for the less fortunate and encourages the use of technology by giving crash courses on ICT.
- M-Kids Association targets groups of people outside the geographical borders as well. It was part of the Humanitarian Charitable Mission in Madagascar, Rodrigues, Syria, Bangladesh, Burma, India and Yemen.
