Mabutsane sub district going forward with Gender issues

It has been four years since Mabutsane sub district has been mainstreamed in Gender issues by Bala and Gender links. There is the action plan. There is the gender committee which was elected in May 2014. The committee planned for the 16 days of activism against a girl child and women. Almost all planned activities planned were carried out. There was a high turn over of the staff and communityKey objectives ? To create gender awareness on the community- through kgotla meetings, VDC forums ? To emphasize issues of male involvement on GBV through pitso ya borre ? Construction of destitute houses-4 destitute houses have been built for the year 2014/2015 ? Train underprivileged woman with entrepreneurial skills and engage them in into income generating projects through poverty eradication projects and collaborate with other stakeholders like humana people to people to train these women ? Advocate for residential plot ownership for destitute persons- one woman has been allocated plot after our advocacy.
