Gender Mainstreaming on Climate Change in Oshakati Town

Oshakati town was affected by flood in 2008. The Concept Master Plan for Oshakati was established in 2008 toward 2009 as a permanent mitigation measure. The flood of 2008 affected businesses, houses, school and infrastructure. Schools were closed and most businesses closed as well. People were relocated temporarily to high grounds for a period four to five months. Daily activities were really interrupted. Meaning some people lost their source of income.
