The partnership has been created with churches, general community and both government and community schools, • It has promoted active involvement of the church in the fight against HIV/AIDS & mitigation of its impacts. • It has contributed to the reduction of stigma & discrimination • Information dissemination on HIV/AIDS and gender equity related issues has made a shift in people ’s minds, thus accepting both genders as equals before God and men. • Care for the people living with HIV/AIDS and support for Orphans and Vulnerable Children is a practice that have been adopted by DORCAMO since it was organised. The OVCs and people living with HIV are the most marginalized groups of people in our societies and therefore, Dorcamo has taken up the responsibility, as a faith based organization, to deliver care and support services with the help of well-wishers and donor community to lift up their living standards. • Equal access to education by male and female OVC ’s and support to People Living With HIV (PLWHIV) has further strengthened the synergies between Dorcamo and the community to which it serves.
