Over the past seven years there has been a marginal increase of one percentage point in the proportion of women sources in the news in Zambia from 13% in the 2003 Gender and Media Baseline Study (GMBS) to 14% in the Gender and Media Progress Study (GMPS).This is five percentage points lower than the regional average of 19%, and lower than the global average in the 2010 Global Media Monitoring Project (GMMP) of 24%.
