South Africa: Finding My Voice: How The Q Networq Sparked My Entrepreneurial Journey

It was in 2019 when I first came across The Q Networq on social media. Something about their work spoke to me I knew I wanted to be part of this vibrant community. Unfortunately, I missed their first summit, but I promised myself I wouldn’t miss the next one. 

When the second business summit came around, I almost missed it again. Luckily, I managed to secure a seat, and that decision changed everything. 

Walking into that space was electrifying. For the first time, I was surrounded by people pitching their businesses with confidence and clarity. I arrived late and could only watch from the sidelines, but what I saw left me inspired. These were remarkable women in business, and being in that room felt like stepping into possibility. 

One moment stood out the announcement of Neferu Hair as the winner of the pitching competition. I was blown away by the creativity and professionalism on display. That day, I realized that this was exactly what I needed: a space to learn, grow, and believe in my own potential. 

The following year, I made sure I didn’t just attend I joined the business pitching competition myself. That experience was transformative. I learned the language of business, how to present my ideas, and most importantly, how to believe in what I was offering. My confidence soared. 

Today, if you ask me about my business, you’ll hear passion and hard work in every word. I’ve grown from someone who watched from the sidelines to someone who stands proudly in the arena. The Q Networq didn’t just give me a platform; they gave me the tools and courage to build my dream. 

I am deeply grateful for the mentorship and support I received. It taught me that empowerment is not just about opportunity it’s about community, collaboration, and the belief that young entrepreneurs deserve a seat at the table.
